After the previous editions in the Bahamas and Norway, from 1 to 10 September, Circolo Vela Torbole will host the 5.5 S.I. World Championship, a refined and exclusive sailing class with an estimated 800 boats in the entire world since 1949.
The class consists of three divisions: Modern, Evolution and Classic, depending on the period in which the boats were constructed.
The World Championship will consist of a series of qualification regattas reserved for modern boats (Gold Cup) and historic boats (Classic Cup) before the actual Championship. Teams are coming from Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Holland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, the United States, the Bahamas and Australia.
